A flying saucer took three boys on a sapce-safari, claims Roderigo Ortiz by the policedepartment at Concordia, Argentine.
- The boys are telling the truth, the policeman says. They're too young to make up the details, and they don't even say it was a UFO that took them. They belive that it was God himself.
The boys are: 9-year old Andres Molero, 8-year old Jorge Alvez and his brother Carlos, 7 years old. According to the children and a half dozen adult witnessess a big aerial-craft came and picked them up while they were playing iat a playground near their home.
- It was made out of gold and it was God who drove, says Andres. He had goldclothes and long hair of silver that shone like a lightbulb. He was very kind and said his name was Lalar.
- We rode into the craft on a lightbeam and we were scared at first, says Carlos. But then he showed us the moon and other stars. He also stitched us in the back, but it didn't hurt.
- Lalar did look kinda strange, says George. He had a big head and large yellow eyes. But he was kind.
Officials has covered up the incident on parents request, but they admit that the boys seems sincere. They all have marks after something on their backs and it seems like they've been under some kind of medical examination.ö
Warsawa, Februari 2, 1996.
Polens first UFO was filmed on new years eve in the town of Lodz, according to the Lodz-based UFO-association ôPandorraô.
UFO-expert Zbigniew Blania-Bolnar says that two glowing balls appeared over Lodz on the night between December 31st and January 1st, 1996. Seven people standing on a balcony saw and filmed the glowing ball the descended from the sky and made a short break over their heads, whereafter it accellirated off with tremendous speed. The whole videosequenze is about 1 minute long. Zbigniew Blania-Bolnar, along with the Pole astronomical society is now studying the film along with gaining witness-reports about sounds etc. Natural phenomena as fireworks, airplanes, satelites or sunspot-effects has all been put aside as an explanation to the incident. The Lodz-sighting is in paralell with UFO-characterization, the studyteam says.
ö Sirius, the brightest star in the sky is a twin-star, or maybe even a triplet-star. Many have claimed that, among them the African tribe/people Dogones (right translation?). But even the biggest telescopes haven't been able to spot the third star. But now two French astronomers have made calculations that show that there is a third star that is orbiting the others invisible to the eye. Dogonesprediction of a third star has been interpret as they have had visitors from space-creaturesö

Asteroids threatening to collide with Earth are the new targets of the Pentagon, which finds itself with missiles to fire but nothing much to shoot at after the thawing of the cold war.
The US air force is sponsoring a project, codenamed Clementine 2, to develop probes to intercept asteroids in deep space. The project intends to test new missile guidance systems by destroying asteroids before they crash into Earth.
Clementine 2 will also have a direct influence on America's ability to defend itself against incoming ballistic missiles from other countries - a plan that used to be known as star wars and has been officially abandoned.
A Titan rocket will launch a spacecraft into orbit about 10m miles above Earth. For a year the satellite will track asteroids and on a command from Earth will release three probes. They will use their own optical navigation sensors to lock on to different asteroids and strike them at speeds of up to 11 miles per second.
Cameras on the probes and the spacecraft will record the impacts using the same technology that would be needed to track and kill enemy missiles or satellites.
The probes will carry no explosives; instead the aim is to demonstrate it is possible to hit fast moving asteroids and to measure how the impact afects their trajectories. In some cases the high speed impact alone could be enough to cause the asteroids to disintergrate.
If the experiment fails or the targets were different, such as incoming ballistic missiles, the probes could be armed with explosives.
At first sight the likelihood of Earth being hit by an asteroid may appear about the same as a pedestrian in a city street being hit by a stray golf ball; but scientists insist there is a real threat.
"An asteroid big enough to destroy a large city hits the Earth roughly once every century," said John Pike, director of space policy of the Federation of American Scientists. Other have calculated the probability of a large object colliding with the planet during a persons lifetime is 10 times greater than the risk of dying in an air crash.
The American air force has provided 120 million dollars for the Clementine project because it is hoping to extract double value from its money: it will keep the air force in the star wars game while enabling its scientists to study the latest technology for tracking targets in space.
The star wars scheme, which envisaged a shield of radars, missiles and satellites, was a casualty of the end of the cold war and the releaxing of superpower tensions. Today America officially has no defence against ballistic missiles; but the CIA believes that an attack with missiles launched from countries such as Iran, Libya and North Korea is a serious threat.
Last week Bob Dole, the Senate majority leader, and Newt Gingrich, leader of the House of Representatives, announced they would sponsor legislation that would force the Pentagon to develop a national system to defend against missile attack.
If passed, the new legislation would require America to deploy a missile defence system by 2003.

öUnsolved UFO Sightingsö, USA, 1996
John Bro on the Aamrican TV-show Unsolved UFOásightings says that he has found a way to spot UFOs.
His theory is grounded on that there is hundreds of flying objects (UFOs) in the sky every day, but they're invisiböe to us except around the suns corona, where they get more reflective
To be able to see them you do like this: O.B.S. USE POLAROID SUNGLASSES!!!
Bloch the disk of the sun (middle glowing part you know) and watch the light aera that floats from the suns-disc. According to a guy who tried this, it was successfull after 30 minutes - if there are any up there ofcourse... But don't look directly at the edge of the suns-disc (fatal to your eyes!). Second time he tried it it only took 20 minutes to gain result.
Through mailing-lists on the internet several persons in the US and England proclaims that it works and they have spotted a big amount of models of crafts close to the sun. You can read more about this in the US UFO magazine Unsolved UFO Sightings winternumber (1996).

AMERICAN astronomers, having found four planets beyond our solar system, believe they will soon detect radio signals from alien civilisations.
"I believe the odds on there being advanced civilisations in our Milky Way galaxy are a thousand to one on," said Prof Paul Horowitz, of Harvard University. His team operates an 84ft radio telescope near Boston that continually searches the sky for artificial signals.
"Every day we pick up radio 'noise' from space that is equal to 22 trillion bytes of data, equivalent in information content to 50 million novels," he told the annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
So far there have been many false alarms where likely signals have failed to repeat themselves.
Another astronomer, Prof Frank Drake, said: "The real signal, when it is found, will be unmistakable. I strongly believe that we shall find one before the year 2000."
Other scientists warn that it could be dangerous to advertise our own presence on Earth by transmitting signals.
Prof Robert Rood, of Harvard, said: "The civilisation that blurts out its existence on interstellar beacons at the first opportunity may be like some early hominid descending from the trees and calling 'Here, kitty' to a sabre-toothed tiger."
The Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence programme is being carried out privately by Prof Horowitz's team and another in Australia.

Baffled boffins at Birmingham's UFO Society say they are stunned by a dramatic leap in sightings of flying saucers.
Until this month the society received about one call every six weeks reporting a possible sighting in the area.
But over the past three weeks a staggering 35 people have reported seeing an unidentified object.
In most sightings callers report a saucer-like object with a domed top surrounded by red, green and blue lights.
Other sightings are reported to be of a huge black triangle. (Dave says: check the groups www page for a drawing of what other witnesses say the triangular 'Silent Vulcan' UFO may look like, under the article 'So is there somebody out there, after all?')
But society bosses are puzzled at the increase.
"It is an extremely exciting period for us but at the same time we don't really know why there is this sudden increase," says society expert Marilyn Aldworth.
In the most recent case a farmer said he saw a saucer hovering over his horses as it projected a light on the animals.
On a written report to the society he claims the horses stood "almost paralysed," for two hours after the incident.
Meanwhile the country's leading UFO experts were this week gathering information on the sightings.
"We've monitored the number of sightings around the country for many years but the recent increases, particularly around Birmingham, are quite amazing," said Professor Tony Dodd of Leeds-based Quest.
"We are currently pressing the Government and Ministry of Defence to pass on information but, as always, they are reluctant to co-operate."
